The first ‘First Homes’ hit the market in recent days as the Own Your Home scheme gets underway in the UK. The first Ten new builds built for this specific scheme hit the market in Staffordshire on July 2nd with more planned to follow throughout the summer.
This scheme comes as part of the government’s wider ‘Build Back Better’ initiative – a scheme that has outlined the intention of 300,000 new homes being built every year across the country. These ‘First Homes’ will be primarily for first-time buyers and key workers as the government look to turn ‘generation rent’ into ‘generation buy’.
