The Green Homes Grant, which was initially announced in July 2020, had previously been extended for a year beyond the original March 2021 deadline. However, last week the government reversed this decision, meaning applications for the scheme had to be submitted by 31st March. With this retrofitting scheme now closed, the inherent improved efficiency of new build homes may be even more appealing to potential buyers.
