• Who’s eligible to use Own New’s service? And how does it work?

  This scheme is open to anyone purchasing a participating builder’s new build property including first time buyers and home movers. Own New works with home builders and lenders behind the scenes, taking a fee from the home builders and using this with the lender to reduce the interest on mortgage payments for the initial term.

  We will help negotiate with the developer who may be willing to offer up to 5% incentive. This will go directly to the lender to offset your interest rate instead of using it for other things such as gifted deposit or to spend on upgrades to the property.

• Who will my mortgage be with?

  We will arrange your mortgage directly with the lender. The Rate Reducer product is currently available from Halifax, Virgin Money, Furness and Gen H, with a number of other lenders in the coming months.
