Insight and partnership, key takeaways at our annual conference

There was a buzz in the air at The Mortgage Brain Annual Conference in Kingsholm in October, attended by more than 100 staff from around the country. It was a fantastic day that brought together our developer partners, around 40 lenders, insurers and the TMB team to reflect on progress, share insights and strengthen relationships across the new build mortgage sector.

The agenda covered everything from market and economic updates to panel discussions, roundtables and live demonstrations all designed to ensure we’re continuing to deliver the very best outcomes for our shared customers.

We were able to report that The Mortgage Brain has had its best year ever in 24/25 and announced a new partnership with The Better Homes Group which has taken a 25% investment in the company. As the biggest mortgage broker in South Africa it has 50% of the new build market place and 35% of the overall market and brings its strengths in digital tech to the UK to help The Mortgage Brain on its ambitious growth plan.

At the conference, keynote speaker Simon Jefferies gave an inspiring session on mindset and performance which really energised the room. Our very own Kerry Williams stole the show with the annual ‘Kerry’s Quiz’ which went down a storm as did the Karaoke towards the end of the evening!

Feedback from attendees has been overwhelmingly positive. Sponsors valued the opportunity to connect directly with developers, while advisers appreciated hearing first-hand from our lender partners about future plans and product innovation. The common theme throughout the day was collaboration ensuring we continue to work together to simplify processes, improve lead conversion and support customers more effectively.

Overall, it was a hugely positive event for all stakeholders, setting a clear direction for the months ahead. We’re incredibly grateful for all our partners and our advisers will be sharing their learnings with their next site visits!
