James Chutter

Head of New Build Partnerships

James has over 20 years of experience in financial services, having worked with leading institutions such as NatWest and Leeds Building Society. Throughout his career, he has held key roles including Business Development Manager and Corporate Account Manager, earning multiple industry awards for his contributions.

With extensive experience in supporting brokers, marketing, and events, James has worked closely with The Mortgage Brain, helping to enhance services and strengthen industry partnerships. In his current role, he is responsible for managing relationships with key developer partners, ensuring they receive exceptional service that supports their customers throughout the mortgage process.

Beyond his professional expertise, James is a passionate sports enthusiast. He actively participates in and coaches CrossFit and is a dedicated season ticket holder for his beloved Bristol Bears. Committed to giving back, he has taken on numerous endurance challenges for charity, including an ultra-marathon, triathlon, bungee jump, and long-distance cycling events.

Kirstie David

Mortgage Specialist

Kirstie first started working in the Financial Services Industry in 1997. Over the years she has worked for a number of high street banks providing Mortgage, Insurance & Full Financial Planning advice until more recently specialising in Mortgages and Mortgage Protection.

She is passionate about customer service and loves getting her teeth in to something that doesn’t seem easy at the outset.

In her spare time she likes to spend time with her family and looking after her alpacas.

Richard Lawson

Regional Sales Director

Richard worked for Barratt Homes for 25 years. He started in Bristol as a Sales Adviser, worked all roles in sales including Part Exchange and Manager roles. To progress he moved to South Wales as Sales Director in 2012 and returned to Bristol in 2026 as Sales Director.
